What modifications can be made to noise screens on motorways to make them obstruct noise more effectively? How can these screens be more effective? IPG-Weg is investigating this in various projects. For example, it seems that placing an extra screen in the central reservation of a motorway reduces noise by about 3 decibels. This also applies to a special screen top (T-top) that is fitted on top of an existing noise screen and absorbs and obstructs the noise.
